Small Business Big Focus – #SmallBiz is alive and well in Western Sydney
In the weeks leading up to Wednesday, 8 August 2018, team Quiddity was very busy. The customer experience team was busy at work refining the final touches for our stand at the Western Sydney Business Expo (WSSBE), our marketing team was working feverishly to get out the announcements and content to share with our customers in the lead up to the event and our founder, Vivek was working on his presentation on Automation. The expo which is in its 2nd year of running is the passion project of local Parramatta businessman Eyob Yesus, Founder of Memphis Events.
Throughout the day the theme of Plan Unlock Diversify was evident as one walked the floor at the Grand Pavilion at Rosehill Gardens. The WSSBE has a reach of over 42,000 in Western Sydney, the fastest growing area in Australia – so it was fitting that an Expo focused on empowering small business, the engine room of Australia was held here. Western Sydney covers 85% of Sydney, contains 47% of its population and produces 31% of its gross regional product. Western Sydney is also home to the Australian offices of Quiddity.
The WSSBE exhibition space was divided into seven business sectors of prominent industries within Western Sydney. Attendees had a choice of a day pass where they had access to a program of workshops, plenary sessions as well as the social networking event at the end of the day, or just the expo and networking or the expo exhibition hall only.
Day pass holders got to learn from our founder Vivek Trivedi, as he shared his entrepreneurial journey and how through automation he was able to access time for the things that matter most to him. The workshop was a resounding success with Vivek sharing the automation processes that small business owners can implement in their businesses to save time. Use of cloud-based technology can enable small business owners to avail themselves of business process automation affordably.
The day ended on a high note with attendees and exhibitors celebrating another successful WSSBE with a night of social networking at Alex & Co. It was great to mingle with other small business owners and fellow Sydney Hills Business Chamber members that were exhibitors too!
